Profile: Luis Cumbers, #9 (Loan Ended - January 2007)

Essex-born Cumbers is a product of Gillingham's youth academy who made his professional debut for The Gills in a 2-0 win over Yeovil Town in May 2007.

At the start of the 2007/08 season, Cumbers was sent on loan to Maidstone United in the Ryman Premier - the youngster scored six times in nine league appearances for The Stones.

In November 2007, Former Blues boss Mark Stimson recalled Luis and immediately sent him on "work-experience" to Grays Ath.

The striker made his debut against Aldershot, coming on as a sub and scoring in front of the Setanta Sports cameras.

Cumbers was recalled to Priestfield on 8th January 2008.
